I’m a little over 2 weeks into my trial with Verizon 5G home and I am quite impressed. I consistently get 300+mbps down and ~18mbps up. Since I am in my trial period, I still have xfinity which is $75/month (about to go up to 85 in a month after the year promo pricing ends) for 800mbps down.It depends on the area, apparently. The pricing for Comcast is a promo price. By default, comcast has a cap. The non promo pricing for the gig plan for comcast was around $110 the last time I have had them. Downside I guess of them not having contracts.My neighbors (multiple) have AT&T fiber and it went out in the middle of the Superbowl. They weren't happy but the problems continued for months. The AT&T tech practically lived on our street for a while. They told my neighbors that there was a problem at the local hub and our whole zone was affected. Xfinity is just Comcast rebranding cable internet to seem more competitive with fiber internet (FIOS). Fiber has more throughput than cable. From a use perspective Comcast has much lower upload speeds than FIOS (they allocate more of their limited bandwidth to downloads since that is what most people use) and is prone to slowing down during busy times of the day due to congestion. .
